hello everyone..
Hello...recently got my 95 Samurai, not likely to do much off roading but i like Suzukis. Not keen on modern cars incl. 4x4's....they all seem so girly, with their curvy bodywork and all mod cons.
Most likely will be just using it for day to day and prowling about on the seafront when its sunny hahaha.
Will be making a couple of alterations at sometime, fitting back seats for grandchildren, and probably a new front bumper. Also will remove rollbar that has been fitted to allow easier access to rear seats and also looking into a custom retractable soft top...the existing one is fine but a pain to put up quick in the rain...

Re: hello everyone..
Think I'd keep the roll bar as the standard hoop is not up to much. Front bumper looks OK in that pic, as does the whole motor
Not heard of anybody converting the soft top , but if you do manage it, take some piccy's of the job in progress as I'm sure others would like to do the same.
I expect one of the members has an old torn scrapper hood that you could mess with until you get it right. Best of luck & have fun .

Re: hello everyone..
As its not going to be used for extreme off road, just a runabout, i think i can live with the standard car. I can't access the rear from the front seats very well, and i do want my little ones in the family to ride in the back. I will be selling off any parts i remove, including the bumper as well....its a matter of personal taste i suppose but for me the one on it doesn't quite look right.
Re: hello everyone..
to club UK matey, looks like a real tidy SJ
I'd keep it as close to stock as possible if you aren't using it as an offroader, it will hold its value a lot better. If you do swap bumpers etc I'd keep all the Stock items to put them back on if you ever decide to sell it.

Re: hello everyone..
Roll bar and front bumper are aftermarket items anyway!
Re: hello everyone..
Yeah sorry I noticed the bumper wasn't stock after I replied, couldn't quite tell as I'm on my phone and its got a small screen. are you going to get another aftermarket one or return it to stock?raymondo24 wrote:Roll bar and front bumper are aftermarket items anyway!
Oh and I'd recommend finding some stock length shackles, you'll probably find it tightens up the steering and handling a bit.
Nice carry too!

Re: hello everyone..
Welcome to the site, its a nice looking SJ, have you considered a different roof? If you have a fastback type roof you can fold the backseats flat whilst the roof is down then put the seats up when the roof is rolled up, with a fast back roof its easy to roll up the back (x2 zippers & a few poppers) & although its not the same as open top motoring, its pretty close!, if you don't fancy a fast back they do truck cab roofs & bikini tops too - whilst on holiday in Cyprus I saw a roof with no sides on a lwb SJ!
Have you visited monsoon 4x4 before? http://www.monsoon4x4.co.uk they have a nice selection of roofs.
Ps nice wheels - the same of mine!
