so checked disi cap, leads and sprayed them with wd40 still no joy,,
so left over night and all was back to normal?
so i guessed ther was crap in the tank witch i disturbed driving offroad
so i took the tank off and cleaned out
but i managed to snap the fuel pipe rite on top of the sender getting the tank out i was super carefull tooo :(

so ive managed to weld the pipe back in place but its not the best of welds but its solid
was thinking of wrapping loads of epoxy putty around the part iv welded
as ther are a few air leakes wen i presure tested it wat you guys recomend?

the part is discontinued and cant get anywer
its the clip on 3 pin type

thanks guys

Mike Harris on here strips quite a few SJ's and may be able to help. I believe that sender type is from the spanish built model.

Fixed it :)
Welded the pipe back on then cut it down to an inch long grinded it down to smothen off
drilled the hole with a 4ml to clear any weld that got into the hole
then used 8ml fuel pipe to go strait to filter
also replaced the coroded points with new spades
used the epoxy steel over the weld to fill any hairline holes
jobs a good one :)

Nice job on the repair, when my dads did that we ended up welding up the pick up and modifing the Spanish sender to fit a Japanese fuel tank. The pick up on the Jap fuel tank is in the tank itself and not the sender.

The Jap senders don't work with the Spanish guage otherwise we would've just fitted the Jap tank as it was.
