Hi this is my set up

Engine: Vauxhall 1700cc Diesel non turbo

Transmission: Vauxhall Calton 5 Spd Manual

Transfer Box: Original SJ410

Axles: SJ410 recently replaced from low mileage SJ

My problem is 50mph top speed can anyone suggest a solution, im thinking replacing it to sj413 transfer box would this help plus isnt the cable for the handbrake different.

I dont know how to improve your top speed, but most 413's had the handbrake on the rear drums so totaly different handbrake set up. All the t-boxes ahve the same case, so shouldnt be to hard to fit the 410 handbrake drum to the 413 case.

I have a m8 who runs the 1.7D with opel mantal gear box, 31" rubber and the top speed is way more than that and he runs a lobster (20% lower in high box)

The 410 and 413/sammy both have the same high box ratio, they only differ in the low box.

I would put some sammy axles under it 8-)

This is my first SJ i have used discos until now, would the axles make that much different plus how easy / hard is it to change them, plus the wheel hub fitting would this be different ie have to get new wheels and spacers.
