i read somewhere that a 413 head and a swift head fits onto the 410 block?
and that the swift head also fits the 413 block?

if this is true would it be easy enough to do and would that be much gain in power?..

I'm not sure that a Swift head would fit a 410 block, because the 410 engine is an F10, whereas the 413's is a G13. Different families of engines. The swift is probably a G13 derivative also.

Can't say I've heard of it fitting. So been off to do another diagram :screwy: and have done this. Looking at that I would say there's no chance of it fitting. Anyone tried ????????

i see, i didnt think it would work, i mean maybe the swift head onto a 413 block might work but i couldnt work out how a 1.4 head would fit a 1.0 block, and in that pic its obvious the oil and waterways are different, i also heard that the 1.0 swift head fitted the 410 block then i looked up the engine on ebay and seen its only a 3 cylinder so theres not a chance of that lol...

ive been looking at easy engine mods to do for my zuk but im tempted to do the vit 1.6 8v
id love to have the pug 1.9 TD but that seems very complicated.

Does anyone know if a vit 1.6 8v mounted to a 413 gearbox would fit into a 410 without modifying the propshaft to the Tbox?

Found this, but he didn't get an answer on the propshafts fitting. Engine mounts look easy enough.

From memory, for a G16 8-valve conversion for a 413/samurai, I know for certain you have to make/get an adaptor plate to fit the G16 engine to a 413 gearbox and you have to find one of the infamous 'skinny' starter motors as well.

There might be more, I don't know.

i know about the adapter plate for the vit engine to 413 box, i just need to know if it will go into a 410 without changing the prop shaft to the Tbox or anything like that...

I'm pretty sure you have to weld on new engine / gearbox mounts, i imagine the tbox & propshafts would be the same (unless you've got the skinny prop model 410) you will definatley need to modify the 1.6 sump as you are standard ride height

thanks tramp, im not sure abour skinny prop though? and i know i need to do new engine mounts its just gearbox mounts etc, ive never seen a write up on the 1.6 conversion into a 410 only in a 413 which obviously already has the 413 gearbox...
