suzuki sj413 su hif44 carb help

hi everyone I have got a few questions to ask you guys
I am part way through my Suzuki sj 413 rebuild hope to have it on the road soon after a lot of
I bought one of those su adapters of eBay for my Suzuki SJ413 and it arrived today I had a look at it and where it bolts on to the manifold there's a water jacket there but the plate just blanks it off that was first problem.
second problem is I didn't get any instructions with it and I am unsure where the vacuum pipes ect go on to hif44 carb.
thirdly do I need to alter the throttle cable or is standard cable set up fine? I know I will need to get a choke cable as well. and what air filter would you guys advise me to use

Hi.

Take a look at this sticky thread regarding SU carbs as there is a wealth of information and a lot of questions have already been asked and answered.

Regarding the water jacket it is correct to blank it off as the SU has no facility for heating. You will need to adjust the other pipe that went from the carb back to the manifold or water rail. (think I just blanked the pipe off at the water rail on my old 1300 setup.

If you are going to use the truck off road I would reccomend trying to find a way to use an enclosed airbox and filter.

Your existing throttle cable will just need connecting to the new bracket on the hif44.
