Llama4x4 is well known on "Difflock" and well liked. The only complaint about the add-a-leaf set-up is that it makes the suspension really stiff. Therefore you do get the lift but a harsh ride and little articulation off road. Your better off with lift springs but of course there more dosh.

If you prep your springs correctly and buy decent shocks the ride will be alright, I did this a year ago and it's a great kit, Dave at llama is the best seller out there mate

Horses for courses. If you just need clearance, they're fine. If you need articulation for rock crawling or something, not so much.

Ive got these on my sammy, they are stiff on road but i removed the bottom leaf off my springs and then fitted the addaleafs to replace them, with my modified astra shocks i thik they work really well,

im running these to with standard shocks and tyres, it is quite a rough ride on the road but it always was tbh. whats the benefit of changing the shocks? ive heard quite a few times of people using astra shocks, do you have to modify them that much? or should i even bother if im using the original tyre size?
cheers

I would leave it as it is. I think most people go for astra shocks just because there a cheap replacement for knackered shocks. Or is the damping rate different ??

There longer and a bit softer than standard so they work well with the addaleafs and i only modified the rear shocks so they bolt up in the standard position, also when i fitted my addaleafs my standard shocks wouldent reach the axle, must be because i have slightly longer shackles too

right so the llama springs look a good option for lift for big wheels ect but not to good for articulation off road im hopeing to be doing quite abit of green lanning and on and off road driving so i think i will need abit of flex with the spring
and do you need to run astra shocks on the rear.
ive got land rover disco rear shock on the front running with d-flex shackles

D-shacks are no good. They don't put any weight on the lifting side.
