my sj has just died on me i started her up this morning went to petrol station filled her up .drive just under 2 miles and she died theres a good spark and petrol getting to the carb just not start .i set the choke up myself if its not right could it be flooding as it is runing till it dies .at the minute its outside the garage waiting to get looked at in the morning .my sj just died on me

could it be a coil maby? mine did this when i ran it without a ballast resistor for a while and it knackered the coil. it would start and drive fine then a couple of miles up the road would die, but then leave it for a while and it would start again.

the mechanic says its a knackered needle seal in the chamber in the carb it starts and runs then floods and dies .as the seal is putting air in the chamber .

not as bad as mine. she died driving round the field. basicly i took they key out but nothing she was still going then drove it up to the garage and just about to put it on my ramp as soon as it took the strain it died and ditn start so its being trashed by the rain atm :(
