Need to replace all 4 leafs as one front and one rear flat, in fact the drivers front leaf is bent downwards

With its SPOA conversion, what new leafs would you fit ?
Thanks!

It depends if you want any extra lift, but as I sed in your other post, you risk becoming unstable, unless your going out as well as up, if you did want extra lift definatly go down the route of lifting springs over the shackles. but you also need to think what your going to gain out of it all, more room for bigger tyres is about it, but then the 5" you get from SPOA is big enough to fit large tyres before you risk damaging transmission components.

personaly i would just fit a good set of standard springs.

Hi Dan,

I should of said :-(

The car is way too unstable and its road manners are awful. A lot of this is the leaf springs, one being totally flat, one bent the wrong way! I also think the Dflex make it worse on the road. So my goal, is only to replace worn out leafs and replace the dflex with something to make her a little more driveable on the road. I know these are bad, sure, but this one is border line dangerous. 40 mph on a flat road is the most you dare take her to! The SPOA give her tons of height, so no more lift is needed no way!

I was wondering if a new set of standard springs would be too stressed with the SPOA, or if a set of 'heavy duty' would make the anus bounce on the road becuase of reduce flex in them?

I don't need any more height! no way!! :-)
Cheers Dan

The stress put on stndard springs will shorten their life span.

HD springs probably would be quite hard and result in a bouncy ride but would soften up over time.

I would suggest that you build a bam bar/anti-tramp bar too as this will prevent the rear springs being destroyed on a regular basis
