bought my wideboy, with 11 months mot, viewed at night, big BIG MISTAKE. Took it to a dealer to run on a diognostic, ready for winter. Good points wheels, battery. BAD POINTS, most everything. Now need a cheap runner, or, a loan runner!!!!

Welcome to the forum. Shame you've been stung on the vit. Plenty more out there, or maybe it should be a start from scratch project???

Oh dear that's not good, I'm presuming it needs welding then? As all suzuki's over 15 years old do :(

Hi everyone, let me put things right. Had my vit for about 1 year. thought it needed a health check for winter. On picking it up,I was shown pics of rear cross member, mostley rusted away, packed with filler, well shrunk. They it had to have been there over a year. Petrol tank held in by HALF a rusty weld. RUST CLOSE TO SEATBELT FIXINGS. VEHICLE DANGEROUS TO DUE TO SEVERE CORROSION ON REAR CHASSIS MOUNTING POINTS. good points, battery 92% good, wheels & tyres OK. sorry if i gave ppl the wrong idea, just very stressed with VIT as I cant get to work!!

does sound like a dodgy mot as the rust must have been there before.
i bought a hilux that had 10 months mot, turned out it needed new steering, leaf spring, brakes and a few other things, all of them would have shown up on a proper mot, told vosa but they seemed not interested!
so after £250 we got it sorted.
that was also looked at in the daylight.
buyer beware as they say esp on ebay.
i got miy viatara unseen except 2 pics from a car auction, so was not expecting much, but it is really solid, just no key.
after going through it the only things not working are the horn and elec windows.
