It has begun! I got started tearing down the longwheelbase tonight to investigate everything and access to the engine easier.

The day I picked it up for those that haven't seen it.

So what plans you got for it?

New front end i'm guessing. I had to go to glasgow for one for my sammi. It was rusty but way better than the original.

Decent body panels are getting pretty scarce now.

Yeah it's getting a new front end when I can afford it, this ones beyond repair, everything else is an easy fix! Would like to find a 410 front grill for it, I prefer them to the samurai grill.

It's gonna be kept fairly standard for the time being but with some decent tyres so I can go Greenlaning, it's gonna be my daily drive.

Will probably make some front and rear bumpers for it and maybe some bolt on rocksliders just to protect the bodywork and it might one day see a swift gti engine for a bit more power. Don't want a 1.6 in this one as I want it to stay in the cheaper tax band.

Thought the old style tax band was upto 1.6?

I'm gona try and get to a local scrappy that has verious Zuk bits lying about on saterday.

Not sure if these may have brand new panels

I've just parked my pick up in the garage for now. As you're aware i have loads of bits for my sammi. Probs tax and insure the pick up feb time just so it can get some use every now and then.

Be nice to see the LWB brought back to its former glory.

Yep 41 bloody CCs. They could've just rounded it up to 1600!!

Mike has a couple of really good wings I was gonna have but the finances are so shit I've had to give them a miss. I'm sure ill be able to find a good enough front end though, don't mind a bit of repair work to do!

I've got pretty much all the mechanical bits I need for the LWB so it's not gonna cost me much to do.
It's missing the starter and an alternator but I have loads of those  Really need to shift some spares I've got my own little suzuki parts store forming

If i had more space i know a bloke who will sell me some scrappers for spares. I know it's a long way but if you get desperate for any bits i'll see what he has.

Like a GTi tin top for £300. If its still there.
