Has it still got its original carb? If yes thats more than likely your problem

As Robbie said. The original carb has an automatic choke on it. It's usually the first thing to break. It stops opening to let more air and fuel in when the engine is cold.

You can get carb rebuild kits but i would waste your time. Plenty other carbs will fit straight on if hou can het hold of one.

i have the similar thing with my 410, but that has a manual choke, they just need the choke opening right up and once the engine is warm she runs like a dream, but if yours has auto choke then like whats already been said give the carb a good clean and if the problem is still there then either fit a SU carb or get a rebuild kit for your current carb...

I had my stock carb serviced & it's running ok right now, how long that will last I don't know.
