hi,
i bought these rear speakers to go in the rear of my sj, to maby give a little more dynamic sound.
but im not 100% sure how to fit them. i think there parcel shelf speakers but they dont have any holes in the bottom? i was thinking of fitting them over the wheel arches but wanted to mount them in a way that they didnt take all the vibration from the road, and off roading.
any ideas would be great!
thankyou!

hmmmm , they look like they will be rather akward to fit in an sj.
any way to take them a part and use just the front face mount into the rear quarter panel?

No offence but they are crap. Scottie is right they are from the 90s and were useless from new , just used to die or make hideous noises.
But they survived this long so you might have a good set

this is how ive been using them so far, lol
i think they should sound good either side of my rear bench seat, but i want to mount them in a way that they dont rattle to death and start sounding rubbish like the rest of them, lol. thinking of making a little shelf to put them on or something?

You could make some kind of box over the top of the arches then put some anti-vibration material on the top and then fix the speakers on that. Dad used that kind of stuff to stop the compressors from rattling the shed to bits.

I fitted my sub in the space by the rear of my wheel arch
I wouldn't mount anything over the top of the wheel arch as your rear passenger will bang their elbows on it!

Or use them as arm rests
what size is that sub Luke? I might boy racer it up with the LWB, we've got a twin 12" sub box and 900w amp in the workshop
takes up half the back in a SWB

I think its 10" or possibly 8", it does fit nicely, originally my box came right over the wheel arch, I only had to have one offroad trip to realise it was too long and it needed to be cut down!
