Hi,

Can you tell me if the rubber boot that fits on the prop shaft is needed before I go off road in the mud? There seems to plenty of grease on there. Can you get the boots as i cant see them anywhere?

Also my rear axle has a lot of surface rust on it, can i just paint it in under seal?

thanks, Tom

Also the rubber grommet is missing from the bell housing, should I also cover this with something before playing in the mud? -

You can make a boot for the prop using an old bicycle inner tube etc. timing hole cover bungs are only a few pounds from Suzuki and crap will find its way in elsewhere anyway but maybe just stick some gaffa tape over it if you are concerned.

For the axle I wouldn't use underseal. get a wire brush attachment for a angle grinder or drill, clean it up and primer and paint it.

I always use primer before using hammerite, I know it says straight to metal but it always seems to work better when applied over primer and not chip off.
