Thursday and Friday I was actually using the truck as a tool for once instead of as a toy.

Well sort of a tool. Still a toy really as it was so much fun.

A lad I know has some fishing lakes and some trees were hanging into one of the smaller pools and reducing growing space for his stock.

Its a bit boggy so a big machine just destroys his banks so he contacted me for some Suzuki assistance.

Had about 20 trees out in total. Cutting them and letting them fall in the lake and then strapping them up and dragging them out. Some of them had been growing under water and were rather heavy!

I also set my DSLR up on a tripod and took one shot every 3 secs to make a timelapse video but had technical idiot issues and deleted 630 shots. I have recovered them but the now scrambled file names make it hard to put them in the right order so will try fix it tomorrow.

Think it will be safer with a hand saw for this one as it will have to be cut from a small rowing boat.

Here's the timelapse as promised.

My 1st effort at a timelapse. Memory card filled up a lot quicker than I thought and made a strange gap in it while I freed up some extra space to continue and I didn't get footage of the whole day.

630 frames, one taken every 3 secs, put together at 12fps.

Can't wait to try it again with a bigger memory card and reduce the quality on the camera as there's no need for 12mp images when creating these. Should be able to do a whole day.

Maybe I will do one next time I strip a Zook.

Chainsaw from a small boat. Could be a very messy wet incident in the making. Lools like fun was had all day long.

The son-in-law is a gardener and does a lot of tree work, the winch gets more use on trees than off road. We have some good laughs driving in gardens in the Jimny

I do love a good time lapse . It looked pretty good apart from the skip in the middle. Can you do them straight from your camera? or do you need a seperate plug in timer thingy?
I usually do mine on my gopro, but even after editing the picture quallity is not that great.

There is a function on the camera to set the interval and number of frames but then you have to use the sequentially numbered images to put into a 3rd party video editor and render the vid.

My camera seems to have most of the "cool" little features you need aux stuff for on other cameras built in which is handy.
