I believe it's auto choke, vehicle runs fine but you have to pump throttle when u start it cold and keep rev up till warm, when I was doing the filters other day and a general clean up I took top cover off carb and notice a cable holding flap shut ? Any ideas ?

mine had the same start up symptoms. I noticed the little pipe from below the green plastic valve on the off side of the carb had perished. Changed it, starts fine.

The standard carb auto choke is wax, it's on the left as you look over the driver side wing. Darrell posted all the carb diagrams up on the "standard 413 carb service" thread, shows everything. the cable tie is a mystery, I take it it's on the port nearest the engine?
