Everyone who runs an SU on a 1.3 and 1.6 uses a HIF44 ;)

Bought 2 for £90. One was missing some screws. Otherwise complete. Best mod i ever did!

Had mine off ebay. Needed a rebuild after a few years but what 2nd hand carb wont!

Right may be that's the way for me then ,I take it I will also need a adapter and a choke cable ?

Yup. Either a modded manifold or the elbow. I just got a universal choke cable.

I got my hiff 44 from a breakers for a score dont go spending loads on one bud, I rebuilt mine when I put it in they're piss easy to build and tune
Im running rockwatts su manifold (pretty sure scottie, dan and jordi are too) great bit of kit

Dead easy to work on and rebuild. All parts are available from burlen still.

Price range from £20 to stupid. I wouldn't be paying more than £50 for a one.

Just set it up yourself. It only has 2 adjustable screws and 3 pipes. Fuel in, overflow and breather.

Not sure where does the adaptors anymore. They should be £30ish new though. Manifolds are £120 from Rockwatt.
