Been thinking for ages about fitting a hand throttle but ar they really worth it? ive been in the situation where i could of used one but not sure it its worth it:/ :|

U can't really fit one on the gear lever as it will catch the dash

Dont think its required with the 1.6. My handbrake is shot and even on pretty steep hills it has enough torque to hold it still at tickover as I move my foot from the brake to the loud pedal.

If you were fitting a PTO or if you were wheelchair bound then yes, otherwise I wouldn't bother.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I had a hand throttle on my (auto) Pajero.
Useful for self recovery. i.e. leave in drive with hand throttle. Get out. Push vehicle. Get back in car. :)
