Re: suzuki vitara 1.6 engine problems ?
usually this isnt the case, but have you checked the auto choke is working properly?
im assuming the is a carburettor model rather than fuel injection
its a common issue on the 413 and samurai, as the auto choke system is prone to failure
try taking off the plenum chamber (bit that bolts on top of the carb) and run the engine up to temperature
the topmost butterfly valve in the carb should be closed when cold and gradually open as the engine gets warmer.
if the choke is stuck closed all the time, this would make it run super rich once it has warmed up.
this would explain that it dies after 10 minutes of heating up, and the sooty plugs

Re: suzuki vitara 1.6 engine problems ?
try and get a replacement ignition coil for it... mine was doing something similar recently, when the coil got warm it would run out of juice
might be worth borrowing one off a mate to test it
