Does anyone on here have a 1.6 mounted to a 413 box and 410 transfer box?

im curious of how many revs the engine does in 5th gear doing 50mph and 60mph...

i drive my zuk to and from wales alot so the shortest journey is about 50 miles and up to about 140 miles...

want to get by 1.6 conversion done, cant wait to do it lol

1.3 box, 1.6 engine, rock lobster on 33s. No idea what revs it does at what speed as the speedo calibration is a million miles out. Followed my dad to the off road centre. He said he was doing 65. My Zuk read 50.

sounds like a good plan anton..

jordi; my speedo is out by 2 mph according to my satnav lol so when the zuk says 40mph the satnav says 38mph

does the speedo read from the transfer box? i know the speedo cable goes that way somewhere lol

I've always found that satnav's tend to give a reading about 2-3mph lower than the speedo on my cars. Talking about unmolested road cars here, like both of my Yaris's, not the SJ. That's with a Tomtom, though, I haven't tried using one of these GPS based speedo apps you can get for your phone.

So bear in mind that your speedo might be bang on, and the satnav reading slightly slow - or that my road cars may have all read slightly high!

i have noticed that satnavs tend to read 2pmh below what the vehicle says..

I think on new vehicles they do it on purpose, makes you drive a bit slower, and when the speedo cable inevitably stretches it will be less out than if they had started it at the correct speed

:er: how does that work? it'll still be spinning at the same speed?

All vehicles over read. Its to cover the maunfacturers arses. GPS wil be most accurate.

Yes Jay the speedo reads from the output of the transfer box.

I have a 1.6 with 1.3 box and 410 transfer box. On 31s it has a top speed of 71mph and even then I wouldn't say it was screaming its tits off. Its more wind resistance and tyre drag than the rev limiter that limits the top speed. :D

To work out rpm at the vehicle speed use the ratios found in this thread and Tim pinks spreadsheet download. http://forum.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/vi ... =12&t=2947
