yep I've got a cheap universal one but this one seems better, it replaces the points and comes with a new coil, so it Gould give an even better spark then shouldn't it?

dont really want to go into buying things like that just want to keep it simple really, this is suppose to give a better spart at the plugs so that the fuel burns better and will hopefully gain my more mpg..

Compared to a bad set of points it may do but the Lucas Sports coil, while it was great in 1950, isn't up to much these days.

That type usually works reasonably well on an old style engine like the 410, you just need to make sure that the heel od the points is well greased to stop the gap closing up. I used a few of that sort years ago and I did notice that the engine would run a bit smoother but I never noticed any improvement in economy, we used to combine then with a high output coil like a Bosch Blue Coil but the extra current and voltage did reduce the life of the transistors.
