Depends what trailer you want ie homemade caravan crap which isnt built correctly for the weight of a truck ie chassis and brakes. Or you fter a decent wessex trailer, ifor williams, or brian james.

Don't know how often you need it but there seems to be lots of places nationwide that hire them for about £40-£50 a day.

A good second hand ifor williams or similar will be over £1000.

Cheap caravan crap can be picked up for less that £100.

I wont say how much or where i got mine from due to the open forum.. but its legit and i checked with the manufacture. I got mine on ebay and i got it cheap okay the tyres were shot and the floor was shot but the undercarage was solid so i replaced all that and its good as new... You can get some really good bargains just wait until the right one comes up.

when i got mine it was with an sj413.
£350 for the trailer and truck together so was fairly cheap and is really well made.

if you only need it for an sj or similar you can get away with a fairly short one which will be cheaper.
also keep an eye out for plant trailers as they will do the job aswell.

This is my trailer which is rated at 2750 i think from memory sj fits on it perfect and a bit of room you get at the front aswell.

Trailers are not cheap but you only get for what you pay for. unless you get a bargain.
