Sorry for so many q's
Could someone please tell me the size of the front wheel bearing lock nuts ( the big ones) as need to buy correct socket.
I know I could measure it but 1 mm out and over here in Italy a bit of a nightmare getting tools and getting anything changed if wrong is a major nightmare.

Im Pretty sure it's 50mm ( but wait fir someone else to confirm before ordering!) make sure it's deep enough, I bought one once that was too shallow

With great certainty I can tell you that the inner and outer nuts are 50mm socket size - BUT, as has already been pointed out, you will struggle to find a socket that has enough depth to allow it to correctly fit over the inner nut because it will bottom on the drive shaft and therefore not reach the nut. This prevents you from torque loading the nut which is essential.
Do what I did, buy a 50mm socket and get it cut in half across its diameter, find a piece of steel tube (I used a section of scaffold tube) and weld an extension so that the upper section of the socket and the bottom section have the tube sandwiched inbetween the two. As I no longer own my sj410 anymore, I sold the socket on this forum to a member in Cyprus.

My 50mm socket is Stanley which is 5cm deep and *just* fits, the other 50mm socket I have is 4cm deep and isn't deep enough

Yeah I have a 50mm socket that is just about deep enough, only thing is its a 3/4" drive so to use it on my torque wrench I have to use 2 adapters to get it down to 3/8"

Thanks guys
Darrell, I'm impatient to, wish i could weld that well to make up socket, good work.
Will start the search for one later in week, for now will dismantle knuckles to change seals and check cv without taking off wheel hub bearings etc.
When I find one I'll post a pic.
