The bottom of my plate bolts into the gearbox with Allen key bolts that sit flush with the plate itself
Then there are 2 more holes in it that should line up with the existing holes on the engine block

I had to drill out the top bolt holes to match the larger 1600 bolts, but the bottom ones I just used the existing holes and used bolts that bit through the holes...

As twiss has said.

Remove the two studs out of the gear box and offer the adaptor plate up. It should have two allen key bolts that bolt in where the studs were. Hilding the plate in place. Its a slightly different thread but will cut its own as it goes in.

Drill the top two gear box mounts out to 12mm and use the original vitara top bolts.

The kit should also have two more bolts to bolt the adaptor plate to the engine inline with the original gearbox bottom bolts.

My mate has a 1.6 vit engine bolted to a 1.3 box but has no conversion plate but you can see that the bottom bolt is bent but it works alright for a while

haaad to stick a screwdriver in and bend it abit so the bolts sat flush in the plate but part from that spot on
