what aftermarket fuel tank do people use

Post by dazerede » Sat Oct 19, 2013 10:43 pm

I was just wondering what aftermarket fuel tank do people use as my fuel tank isn't.looking that well as. I have already patched 2 holes in it and it is looking a bit rusty

I do like the idea of putting a tank in the rear behind my seat I font wanna spend no more than 120 on a tank I seen a sj at a trial Sunday with a alloy tank I. The back and I thought it looked cool he ran new fuel pipes from the tank to the engine bay and I quite like that idea

Not sure how Mot man looks on having a fuel tank in the cab.

Some tidy alloy tanks eBay. A lot of people just fit plastic boat tanks.

Ye I looked on eBay and a good size alloy one e.g 40 litres is about £180

And I seen a plastic one and thought why not

And Ye I will have to.ask my cousin on that mate as my cousin is a mot tester

I like to have the tank in the back away from.the ground

Its a bit of a grey area. i have got my petrol tank in the boot it is custom made to my drawing.. i have the petrol lines running through the cab. i wouldnt even bother putting in tank in the boot unless it is completly sealed of like mine. also you need a breather i get away with mine as i roll the back up you need to puta one way valve in the breather aswell.

Just get a good replacement tank and make a guard, Fuel tanks take up a lot of storage space.

Plastic tanks used to be illegal, I'm not sure if they still are on vehicles over a certain age.
