Su carb adaptor difference? 1.3/1.6

Post by jibb » Fri Oct 25, 2013 8:59 am

Hi there

I can't find this on the search function

Is there a difference between a 1.3 su carb adaptor and a 1.6 vitara su carb adaptor as there isn't a 413 su carb adaptor on eBay and I'm fitting an su carb to my 1.6 8v with a 413 manifold on

I'm trying to get one before Thursday next week so if anyone has one second hand I have money waiting to buy a 413 su carb adaptor with paypal

Thanks for any replies in advance!!!!

No difference, especially as you are using the 1.3 manifold.

Be very wary though, especially if it's a homemade adaptor as depending on if yours is Spanish or Japanese it may foul the brake servo.

Have you got the eBay link?

I don't have a brake servo. It's a 410 shell

Thanks very much for a speedy reply as always!

Never had any dealings with the particular seller and it doesn't say what sort of adaptor it is.

I had a look on their website and it says it will clear a servo and the bonnet. Worth a risk if your desperate. Last one I bought was from off road armoury but I dont think they do them any more.

If you weren't so desperate I'd recommend a RockWatt manifold.

Ok yeah they are based in my home town but don't allow collection

I've bought it now so will reply when I get it to to provide some useful information to anyone else who has the same question!

I've had my heart set on an rockwatt but I've been trying to source a manifold to send to him for the exchange and he hasn't got any at his place unfortually!

Thanks for your help jordi I really appreaticate it!

Unless you have a body lift it will foul the bonnet
