hiff 38?

hey guys does anybody know if a hiff 38 su carb will work on a samurai? i know a hiff 44 is reccomended but could i get away with the hiff 38? and any ideas what the differance is?

hiff38 has a smaller bore, it might work but it will seriously restrict your engine power, best to get a hif44

dont do it i no sum 1 who did totaly reduced the power couldnt do over 45

as the others have said the HIF38 is not big enough, it is ideal for a 410 though!
