1.6 vitara engine

do u need conversion plate wen putting a 1.6 vitara in sammy wiv 1300 gearbox in im not sure
be nice to drive the damn thing lol any info appreciated

Personal preference.
I've fitted 3 without plates without any issues.
You either need to weld up some little adapters for the lower gearbox bolts or use j bolts. Think some people just drill through the block but I don't know if I would trust that.

cheers i will try all options wivout conversion plate allsorts to be going on wiv anyway wiring loom to fit from a vitara wiv ecu bloody nightmare then handbrake to sort might do rear disc conversion lol n keep on plodding wiv bits thnks chaps .

I prefer to use an adapter plate myself, for the price they are it saves any messing about and it fills in the gaps around the bell housing that are left open without one.

When i did mine the adaptor plates were £100 and the engine cost less

I ran mine with no adapter plate and a drilled block for a good 5 years with no disasters...
Got the engine for £100

I used an adaptor plate. It was cheap and easy.
