Basically its putting the fixed shakle one with no movement at the front
And the shakle with forwards and backwards movement at the back

The leaf spring set up on the rear of the truck stays the same.
But on the front it moves the shackle from the front of the leaf spring to the rear of the front leaf spring, the theory is it allows to axle to move backwards slightly when encountering bumps in the road therefore eliminating bump steer (I think that's the idea anyway) it usually raises the truck by an inch or 2 as the shackle tower part at the front of the truck is a bit longer than standard shackles.. (See pics in my build thread as that's what's on mine currently)

Thanks guys.

Trotter, nice fabrication, wish I'd learnt to do that.
Dazerede, let us know how different it feels when the front is on compared to original, would like to know if it stops that whoaaaaaa moment when you hit a bump at anything over jogging speed.

Cheers
Steve

The best way to minimise that is to have minimal lift and a good steering damper.

Well I don't get that feeling anyway I have to get longer shocks and brake hoses first before I.fit the kit but I might fit the front springs and when I get longer shocks and that I will bolt on the shackles

I've given this some thought. The stock front springs are flat so when they compress they get shorter so theoretically the axle should move backwards anyway. If you have arched springs then they would get longer which would move the axle forward, in that case shackle reversal makes sense.

Shackle reverse on my truck from the front. ignore the bits of shoddy box section to the out side of the shackle towers.
