winch plate

winch plates are these essential if fitting a winch to front bumper....my bumper already a cusom made one and made of quite thick steel

you need a plate really, you must bolt it to the end chassis holes along with a welded plate. if you dont, you will end up ripping the holes open. if your not sure pm me your e-mail and ill send some pics.. andy

got your replys,. your winch needs to be idealy just above the chassis legs, or if its higher make sure you weld in some sort of fillets, when you start winching the strain on the bumper/winch plate/chassis fixings,, (you start to wonder if something is going to give,, espesally when you pull another vehical out of a ditch).

will email you some pix of front bumper as its not removable and all welded to chasis, so hoping with plate and some under reinforcement it shuld be ok...

i see thanks i need to make one into my bumper or make a new one so i can fit my winch i quite like the rock cralwer type but i havent seen any pics of an sj one but ill figure it out
