helloo:)
im looking at putting my 1.3 samurai sump on my 1.68v soon. I think I asked about this quite a while ago and someone said that to do this the pickup needs to be modified. can anyone expand on this? I assume this means the pickup from the 1.6 needs modifying, but if I used the pickup from the 1.3 would this eliminate need to modify? if not how does the pickup need to be altered?
Thankyou very much guys.
Joe

You want to use as much of the 413 pipe as possible so it fits in the sump properly.
The problems are that the top end that goes into the oil pump is bigger on the 1600, and that the bracket mounts onto a different place
I did mine by cutting the end off a 1.6 one and welding it to a 1.3 pipe... then chopping off the 1.6 bracket and welding it to the 1.3 pipe

Yep, seems a bit Fidely thought to get it right. Don't suppose anyone has a pre-modified one kicking about that they want to sell?
