Afternoon all
Took the GV for a run round the off road site today, I was really really impressed, always had diesel Land Rovers up to now and wasn't sure at all how it would fair being petrol and with larger tyres but the gearing seemed spot on, ground clearance was way better than I imagined too with the 235/70's on.
Only issue I had was the exhaust silencer kept grounding out, it is a huge affair and sits quite low just in front of the rear axle (2.5 V6 LWB). Has anyone removed it and run a straight pipe or will it be too loud?
Thinking about getting a custom pipe made with either no silencer or a much smaller one but don't want to spend much.
Any ideas?

I had a custom s/s steel system made for £120. One single, small, cherry bomb. Works for me, a little on the loud side according to some.
If it's grounding out go custom. Just find your local exhaust place, if you concerned about noise they will be able to give you a rough idea and probably fit a smaller silencer that is still pretty effective.
