Seats

Basically I need to lower my seats, they are just a bit high, hairs touching the roof a bump and it will hurt,

I want to keep the adjustment and runners on the seat so instead of modifying that again or messing round with the supports it bolts to, I'd like to cut the supports out and bolt 40mm box to the floor running from back to front and then bolt the seats to that, correct hight then with adjustment up and down on the seat. Happy days

Do you know if this would cause any issues with mr mot man?

Mine are just bolted straight to some adapters I made which in turn are bolted straight to the floor on the passenger side and the bracket on the drivers side. No issues for me and both me and Helen seem to be able to drive it without the need to move the seat.

Yea, tidy. Nah it's just so the options there, if the need ever arises, it would be a shame to have a drivers seat you can move all ways but you can't lol

Shall go wth my plan and see how it goes.

Mot can only go, no no no, I did have to redo it, but as long as they are secure I don't think there is a issue.

Sorted, the supports have been cut out, tested the positioning and the seats are being bolted straight to the floor,

Job done

Just make up some spreader plates or use some large thick washers to stop the possibility of the bolts ripping through the floor in the event of a crash /rollover.
