I've just been at my mother-in-laws house for a gathering (my missus uncle is visiting from Hong Kong) we were looking through old photos and we came across this old picture of my father-in-laws escort

Brilliant I love it, I don't know my old fords but he said it was either the 1.1 or the 1.3 it had a side exit exhaust on the nearside that wasn't connected and wheels that rubbed on the arches! I really liked it and I thought I'd share the awesome shackle lift with you, obviously shackle lifts aren't a new thing!

I'll see if I can find a photo of my dads mk1 capri. Complete with vinyl roof, in faeces brown.
For a second car is was a 3.0l V6, his first car was a 2.0l Cortina GT. Try insuring the modern equivalent as a first or second car.

What we used to call a 'jack up kit'. They were intended to give that drag racer look with a big set of wheels on the rear, usually Wolfrace slots.

I've been thinking about going for a Grand Vitara 2.5 V6 or a 2.7 XL 7 for my next set of wheels eventually. They're looking to be relatively cheap to insure; certainly a lot less than virtually every other proper 4x4 available. It would've been about £750 this year, which is less than my SJ was last year.

The 70s, I was a kid and there was some great custom cars about. A friend of the family used to build them, always remember his yellow wat mobile, bat mobile for a company called watling tyres, and a v8 transit called Crusader.
Every thing got the treatment. Big fat Wolf Race at the back small an skinny up front and loads of fake fur inside
