In fact there's a few things in the original post that arnt the best either. A tyre out of balance won't have that much effect on its wear like said. More wear on ball joints and such. I'd be more worried about wheel alignment, mostly toe angles. Especially more than with modern cars than with older...

I don't agree with the above post. Not something iv ever heard of before

Can you back this up with anything please, just out of interest?

Not dismissing the idea by the way, but I'm sceptical of that.

Don't know if there's a thread for this or not

I'm in Spain at present and this is parked outside

Always loved these and 2 of my friends have owned them back when I was 18. Always wanted one since. Should I buy it and drive it back ?

Yeah ok think il do that. Can't drill out the holes on it because the spacing is too far out. Just tie wrapped the shock out of the way for now and putting up with a bouncy ride. Not that I would notice been SPOA
