Think you will find that the HIF 44 is too much for a 410 - when I had mine I used a HIF 38 with the standard air box.

How much PSI should all cylinders be ? :) I've not had my 410 for some time now but the cylinder pressures should be in the region of 170-190 psi with no more than ten per cent variation across the cylinders - don't forget to hold the throttle open when taking the readings and I suggest that you do...

I would recommend that you drain the gearbox oil as the first job. Sometimes things don't entirely according to plan and you may find yourself putting the gearbox at severe angles whilst trying to remove it or getting it back in. The last thing you want is oil dripping about on your new clutch. Just...

RE stalling - I think the clue is the downhill (or possibly even up hill), it could be a carburettor float height problem or the fuel in the tank (especially if it's low) not being picked up through the pipe to the fuel pump.

You might also want to check the condition of the rubber gasket/seal between the base of the distributor cap and the distributor body in case water is entering through.

Glad you found the fault but I would add just for accuracy, carb icing is more related to moisture in the atmosphere rather than cold temperatures. When it's frosty with a clear blue sky, or even a clear starry night, you are less likely to get carb icing than when it's say 8 deg C and raining. I co...
