toyota 3A U engine?

hey everbody i've recently noticed a noise that has been getting worse which as suspect is my con rod bearings and as such i'm looking to swap in another engine all together. i like the toyota 3a u engine, it runs pretty smoothly and has good power for it's consumption. can anyone tell me more about...

thanxx broo.....i changed the head gasket today and the water has stopped coming out the radiator.....i'll give it a run next weekend and see how the temp behavess......and i'll check the plugs alsoo.......FYII...i was ablee to push my sammy pastt 80 mphh and this with a blown headd gaskett....gotta...

engine head removal

help!! was abt to change my head gasket and noticed the book said that the rocker shaft and cam shaft had to be drawn through the rear end of the engine......does this mean i cannot remove them with the engine still in the vehicle???..or is gthere sufficent space for them to pass out??...plzz help a...

thanx for thge advise guys....i did the entire carb swap by myself.....i'm pretty sure it isn't running leann, if anything it burns a bit extra fuel. i reved it without the cap and saw water rising out the radiator... does this mean the head gasket is blown??..it does not have any mayonaise looking ...

1.6 head on 1.3 block??

hi all!!..am trying to juice max power from my sj 1300cc engine....for the challenge of jus doing so i guess:)...so i don't want the 1600cc engine...i'm wondering if it's possible top bolt on the 1600 head(8 or 16 valve) on the 1300 block, and to what extent would that improve performance...looking ...

i assumed that it would improve highway miles as well as beef up the high end speed a bit :D
