There's nothing wrong with using second hand brake parts components, there's only one rubber seal to replace when you get them and check the piston is not rusted, that's it. If you still want new there £180 each from suzuki.

Be careful with and engine flush, with an engine that old some of that crap and soot and rubbish in the engine is what stops it smoking, it bloks up small holes and areas of wear, it could make you engine smoke even more.

Check the HT leads haven't burn't back up, i had a similar problem and couldn't work out why it would struggle to get up to speed, after being under the bonnet it would work for say 5 mins then really struggle and it was because i kept knocking the HT lead so i replaced it and that was better. Only ...
