ive just had one go in less than a week. just had the head skimmed now, put it back together tomorrow, hopefully its sorted this time.

on an sj410, it goes like this: drain the water unbolt the exhaust down pipe from the manifold remove the radiator loosen the alternator and remove the fan belt unbolt the fan unbolt the bottom pulley (i put a long screw driver into the teeth of the ring gear through the timing hole in the bell hous...

i havnt done my sj yet, but on my landcruiser i use a bolt and a socket, find a bolt that roughly fits into the spigot bearing, then a socket that fits into the splines, slide the socket into the splines and the bolt in through the socket and into the spigot bearing. its usually enough to get it to ...

its so easy to work on! gonna do a back main seal and sump gasket this weekend. we'll find out how heavy the gear box is, looks so small ill be doing it on my back with one arm! cant wait. already planning a comp truck, ive found a pick up sj410 with no back on it, just a rolling chassis and cab.......

your right, but here in nz there alot of imports from all over. looking at it all however, might be easier to do the 1600 and sj413 5 speed conversion sooner rather than later. ill wait till i drop on a cheap engine first.
