Re: Th SJ is back!

It looks far too civilised for my liking. Does the roof even come off?

Re: Th SJ is back!

It looks a bit too civilised. I hope they bring out a rag-top version. I would definitely be interested - perhaps with an automatic g/box too, not that there's owt wrong with the old SJ box.

Gone to be a Midge!

At the risk of having opprobrium heaped upon me I am sorry to report that my dear old Dirt Chucker has gone to become a JC Midge Mk2. My M.o.T. man had told me that he would be unable to pass it again until significant work had been done on the chassis/body mountings, so I sought out a local welder,...

Suzuki Samurai front seats.

I have a pair of front seats from a 1993/4 Samurai, professionally re-upholstered in black leather about 3 years ago, since when they have given me many miles of comfortable motoring. The adjusting and reclining mechanisms work properly and the seats look smart and are in good condition. I would lik...

Samurai sills.

Can anyone tell me if sills for the Samurai (1993) might be available from the club or from a manufacturer?

Re: Sustaining my Sammy.

Thanks for all your replies. They've given me some encouragement. Having once removed the body from an old Citroen Ami Super, I might have a crack at doing the same to my Samurai myself, then getting the body back to nearer tip-top condition so that I'm not having to deal with something similar in a...

Sustaining my Sammy.

My old thunder-box has just flown through its annual M.o.T. test EXCEPT for two serious 'advisories' regarding rust in important bits of the underside of the bodywork. The M.o.T. inspector has told me it won't pass next year. This has set me thinking about how to preserve the dear old thing because ...

Samurai of Corse!

I spotted a smart Samurai 1.9 tdi in Calvi, Corsica a couple of weeks ago. I didn't know such a beast existed off the production-line. Any comments? (I wanted to put a couple of photos of it in The Gallery but got a message that it was too big.)

Re: Access to prop-shaft grease-nipples.

Thanks Twiss. In my ignorance of matters-mechanical pertaining to the Samurai I hadn't realized that sealed ones could be substituted for greaseable ones.
