Re: Towing a caravan with an SJ410?
I towed a caravan a few times in the late 80s with my '87 SJ - all is fine until the slightest gradient when all power is sapped from the Suzuki. I could have walked up some of hills faster when I was in Wales. I took a caravan across to France in 1990 on the back of my '89 Vitara and that wasn't re...

Re: I've gone and done it now
I received a letter today from Humberside Police, telling me what an awful scumbag I am. Clearly the life of a University student has gone to my head and turned me into a street racing lunatic. I've got a ' Notice of Intended Prosecution ' saying they want to 'take proceedings against the driver of...

Re: Yokohama Geolander A/T s v.s. Goodrich AT
Another vote for BFG. I have had ATs before but have run BFG MTs on SJs and on one of my Vitaras. Great tyre with amazing off road capability and really quite good on the road - bit noisy but handling is fine at Suzuki speeds... Given the choice I'd go for BFG Muds...which is why i bought a set for ...

Re: Nice example
I'd love that SJ...like really love it. But let me engage my brain... I never lock my SJ-no point I drive it in rain, mud, snow and on salty roads I leave the soft top off when I shouldn't (only occasionally but it happens...I have been known to leave the roof off when its rained or leave it off ove...

Re: My first car.
That's a fantastic first car Andrew413...far too many 17/18 year olds don't think outside the box and end up in Corsacliofiesta land. In fairness I think any car is cool as its sooo expensive to run a car when you are 17 odd When I was 17 my first car was a '72 MG Midget and it was relatively expens...
Old docs
Just been having a clear out and came across my Suzuki brochures from when I was buying a new SJ in 1987 and a Vitara in 1989. Found the press release sent out in 1988 warning that the SJ was possibly going to be withdrawn from the US market because of the alleged stability issues. This was sent to ...
