Re: Headlight fuse or relay?
Worked outt was a loose fuse for the headlights and the indicator relay was so loose it needed cable soldered to the PCB .My fuse box is different than the one pictured. The relay fitted at the top within the housing. First MOT fail on exhaust so I need to find if there is a difference from my JHT ...

Re: Headlight fuse or relay?
If it's going to be inspected, I would be heatshrinking the ends of the wires. What did they tell you about the inspection process? Only a year or so late to reply, sometimes the forum doesn't send me an email if there has been a thread post. Short answer is they don't tell you anything. Love Spain...

Re: Oil change
15w40 is fine, honestly. I use semi synthetic. And don't forget to change the oil filter at the same time! To be honest it's only a filter and oil change I ever do, although there was an advisory note on the ITV this year, one of the rear brakes is 15 percent less efficient than the other although I...

Re: Oil change
Apologies for the daft questions,I've not had my own car since my teens, a life of company cars has left me with a total memory loss of the basics. I'd read on one forum that older engines can benefit from 20w 50 but somewhere else that using it can drop hp and lose mpg. Then read somewhere else tha...

Disconnection of choke.
My SJ 413 runs really well but has problems with the revs when starting if I don't keep the revs around 1000 for a few minutes it drops then dies with a slight smell of petrol. I'm in Spain so will never need the auto- choke,is there a simple way to disconnect it?

Re: Headlight fuse or relay?
Sounds that way to me. Let us know how it turns out! Finally got a pass,as it worked out the noise levels were still too high even after a new full exhaust system, think the bloke was embarassed, and after talking with his boss they did some computer system imput and hey presto it was OK.He explaine...

Re: Headlight fuse or relay?
Think they have just changed the rules so that you can use another station to check the "desfavorable" issues. He signed the results form so that he would do the inspection, which I've never come across before. So hopefully he'll get his eye wiped.

Re: Headlight fuse or relay?
Heatshrinking is an idea. I've a feeling that he'll look for any excuse for a full retest.
