Hey, SJ413: Should I use gasket sealant on the inlet manifold, or just the gasket itself? Same question for the thermostat? Bought a thermostat and it didn't come with a gasket which surprised me!

Anyone use a steering wheel cover? My wheel's a bit grubby and grotty but they are so thin I wonder how a cover would fit?

Spanish 413 on original carb. Always started fine and idled slightly erratically but steadily so I never messed with it. Did notice than particularly on a downhill it would pop pop pop in the exhaust a fair bit on the overrun so I've always vaguely wondered if it was worth investigating...but not go...
