Checked wiki (so it must be right. LOL). Early factory diesels were Peugeot, then they swapped to Renault for the "third generation' models. Pug is a 1.9, wiki say the Renault is a 1.5. Yet all ads I've seen for cars say 1.9 whether Pug or Renault engine???

Thanks for all the advice so far guys. I'm getting closer to a decision. Looks like leaf springs and a LWB to be different. If I get a diesel are there stronger front springs to account for the weight? It's probably going to end up lifted so I can get some decent tyres in there. Also does the diesel...

Hi Robbie, some ads say Peugeot, some say Renault. I suppose it could be a generic engine used by both. I have a french mate who said the pug diesel is very reliable, and tuneable. I've seen a couple of SWB advertised as having coils. I thought coils were only on the Vitara and Jimny? Does anyone kn...
