Re: New SJ410 owner driving around the world in it!

Sounds like an amazing trip, im jealous!

Great to see someone going at this kind of thing is a humble little Suzuki too! So many people nowadays think they need a 20k defender prepped to the max just to get on a ferry!

Is there actually any off road in the rally?

Good luck!

Re: G13A Rebuild

Thanks for info. I've just stuck a post in the wanted section so I'll see if anything suitable turns up!

Re: G13A Rebuild

Hmmm maybe I should just go for a 1.6.
Does anyone have one for sale??

Not many showing up on ebay. Also, what's the going rate for a decent one?

Thanks,

G13A Rebuild

Hi all, My G13A in my samurai is becoming increasingly sad. In the almost 2 years I've owned it it's always burnt oil and emits a lot of white smoke somedays, it depends what mood it's in! Recently though, the oil light has started to flicker when hot at idle only. Once the revs pick up its fine. In...

Re: Dashboard lights staying on

Finally got around to bringing the old girl for MOT today. It passed!!! Definitely needs some carb tuning... Somehow it passed but not before fumigating the whole building!! Anyone got a 1.6 with an SU stuck to the side of it lying about? :) Also, after more than a year of membership on here I'm ver...

Re: Dashboard lights staying on

Hey guys, Was unable to source alternator through my local factors as none were in stock but they directed me to local autoelectrician who managed to repair current alternator for 40 quid. Just refitted it and dash lights are going out as they should!!! Woohoo!!! Thanks for all the suggestions, in p...

Re: Dashboard lights staying on

Cheers for reply's guys... Wiring to handbrake switch has already been removed. Haven't found what's left of it yet but I'm not sure it's the issue anyway. Good to know its not needed for MOT though, thanks! Pretty sure it's not the master cylinder low brake fluid warning as when I take the reservoi...

Re: Dashboard lights staying on

Point to note also regarding the alternator... Yesterday when doing some testing I started the engine and then disconnected the negative terminal on the battery and the engine continued to run without issue. So there is definitely some charge coming from the alternator. Also, as per one on my earlie...

Re: Dashboard lights staying on

Hi Darrell, Thanks for the reply. Once I turn the key to acc, ign or start the lights are on the dash. Interestingly the hand brake switch wiring has been removed altogether by the previous owner so the handbrake light shouldn't function at all. (I may have to rewire this so that the handbrake light...

Re: Dashboard lights staying on

I've checked ignition switch. When I remove said connector to ignition switch with 4 wires in either side and cross the solid white wire (always live) with the black/blue trace (ignition on) the lights come on on the dash and stay on. And still stay on when I then cross starter wire and engine start...
