Re: Got a new spare wheel cover :-)

I kinda messed up when I ordered mine. I got it from 'mercardolibre.cl' - which is like a Latin American Ebay, here's the link :- https://articulo.mercadolibre.cl/MLC-434934501-fundas-personalizadas-para-neumaticos-_JM#position=5 You order online then send them the graphics and the tyre size, which ...

Yeah, they check that, not sure how much play they allow but its probably way too much.

That reminds me, I need to find a rebuild kit for the steering box - its at the end of adjustment so needs to be fixed/replaced at some point.

Re: Pulling transmission & changing the clutch - some video

Got it all back together & back on the road :-) https://youtu.be/qlyfihlFcsw Changed out the water pump, water intake manifold, timing belt & tensioner, repaired throttle body, killed a few more gremlins. Made a youtube playlist for all my SJ stuff :- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...

Re: Brake servo alternatives....?

Is it definitely the servo itself? I'd be checking the vacuum lines to and from the servo for cracks/splits etc and check you don't have a vacuum leak elsewhere? Yep, its definitely the servo. Brake servo alternatives....?

Seems I only post here when I break my car....sorry about that :D The brake servo has quit, no engine power to the brakes only a loud hissing noise when the pedal is pressed...as they say here in the colonies 'no bueno' which is Spanish for 'knackered'. Trying to find a replacement in Santiago has p...

Re: Hola, as they say here in the colonies

Warn M5000 winch - apparently when it was stolen off the car it didn't get far, too heavy to run away with, so I got it back. Terminal posts busted off the motor & some cable damage, nothing too hard to fix & plenty of starter motor repair shops to do that. The extra weight on the front end ...
