Re: Ed's wagon

Don't worry things take time and big company's always take a long time to get sorted out, what discipline have you applied for? Electrical, mechanical, fabricator or production? I applied for a 'Structural' apprentice position which is basically a fabricator. By the end of it I should be a coded we...

Re: Ed's wagon

Hey edd, that sounds rough, have you got plans to fix her up or is she going to sit now? I'm sorry to hear that things have got on top of you. Tell me about your job at Scunthorpe, I did my steelworks apprenticeship at Rotherham (aldwarke) I really enjoyed it. I've still not called in to visit you,...

Re: Ed's wagon

First, I'm going to say sorry for not being very active recently. I've had a lot of stuff going on (depression, leaving Uni, getting a part time and then a full time job, going to see a therapist etc.) and I've had very little chance to sit down in front of my PC. Started working for a small agricul...

Re: Message for Edweird - shell rebuilds.

Oh, I see. It was a pun.

Jordi's right. My SJ's in a rough state and I'm hoping to be able to save up enough money and have Scott or someone else on here who does have the time/skills/equipment to put her right.

Re: Radio Controlled Suzuki

So, the 1/10 tyres I ordered came yesterday and today the rims arrived. I've not glued them yet, but I assembled them and stood them with what I've got so far and this is what it looks like: http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah200/Eddie_Tear/20150508_224930_zps6oxn3kj0.jpg I think the rims are per...

Re: RELIABILITY

Mine's on 63k miles, of which I've done 37k myself in just over four years. So far nothing serious has gone wrong at all. Hoping to get the body rot sorted out this year amongst other things but in terms of running she's had an exhaust, a clutch and ONE fuse, along with the usual bits like filters, ...

Re: Radio Controlled Suzuki

I've finally gotten around to working on my project I've been cooking up for a while. Here's where I'm at: http://i1380.photobucket.com/albums/ah200/Eddie_Tear/20150424_135614_zps0rfa7u1c.jpg I've got the body off. Holes for the body posts measured and drilled. Reciever and ESC relocated. Lights par...

Re: rebuild, restore, maybe improve...

On the radio front, I just have a 3.5mm audio jack going straight to a speaker amp. Nice and simple and means you can connect phones, laptops, mp3 players, ipods etc.

Re: Advice on locating various audio connectors

Maplins is usually pretty good. I went in there the other day with the circuit board out of a broken rotating beacon I found and got all but one of the components I needed. Whilst I was there I noticed they had quite a lot of audio wiring kit.
