Re: Vitara Gearbox / Transmission Oil

Its only the manual gearbox that needs GL-4 or a yellow metal safe gearbox oil like the Millers TRX , both diffs and the tbox are fine with regular GL-5.

You can just use TRX for everything.

I have never applied sealant to the drain or filler plugs personally.

Have you tried https://shopvintage.suzuki.co.uk/

Suzuki offer new spares for a lot of their older bikes.

Re: Coiled turqoise samurai

Mx5 calipers look like they could be a good option for rear discs, have you got any closer pics? Are Mx5 rear discs a similar diameter to Sj front discs?

Re: Winch Bumpers

It will require quite a lot of modifications to fit, tbh i'm not sure how similar the gv and jimny are dimensionally but the chassis mounts will be totally different, if you have the skills to modify a jimny bumper then you would probably be better off just building a winch bumper from scratch.

Re: SJ410 Front Brake Caliper HELP!

Oh actually now you mention it the slider might be a bit longer so you might need longer bolts, I seem to remember running into this when using jimny slider pins on sj calipers, i think.....it was a while back

Re: Mechanical fuel pump part number

Any late model 410 fuel pump should work as far as I'm aware, both jap and Spanish engines are the same in the 410. Part number can be found here. viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3173

Re: SJ410 Spanish santana parts catalogue

viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3173 there's an SJ410 parts catalogue here, most mechanical parts work on both Jap and Spanish built 410s except brake and electrical components.

Re: My Samurai

The bogging will be that you’ve dropped it to 8*, that’s what the book says but as mentioned in my previous post most of us run 10* as they run better.
