Re: How fast ?

Mine has standard gearing and an SU carb on the 1.3, and 31" tyres. Should be terrible, but it's not. Does 70mph without *too* much trouble, on the flats/downhill - but forget about that uphill. 60mph is about tops uphill, if I'm lucky. This is according to GPS (DigiHUD Speedometer), not my sp...

Re: suspension help

I would advise proper lift springs as they will be much better than add a leaf.
Just don't get iron man springs as they are rock hard anyway

Re: How fast ?

With the 1.3 I could do at least 60mph if not more... with my 1.6 16v I could do 95mph on slightly smaller tyres than I have now
I would check your timing as its a common cause for slowness when not adjusted properly

Re: Headlights

I would consider some LED headlight, soooo good!
Only issue is I have to run them slightly tilted to one side to make the headlight tester happy, but no big deal

Re: SJ410 1986, full beam wire

I should add that on Couriors truck we didn't bother like that, just snipped one of the high beam wires, put two connectors on and connected them to the relay.
You arent supposed to pull a lot of juice through the switch side of a relay, but the LED headlights we have hardly use much power at all.

Closest bet is probably the Spanish built late model with diesel engine. They are really rare though, even in Spain I think
