Re: Vitara Locked Rear Wheel
I usually park cars with handbrake 'off' when possible at home, the brakes can seize 'on' quite quickly. Do you have a nylon hammer ? I would maybe temped to remove wheel and smack the drum (assuming drum brake) a few times in case it will free off any jammed brake shoe.Alternatively maybe use a piec...

So true Richy
Although I have to admit that I usually slum it there with our Sportage CRDI,which is our main towcar,I would not like to do too much serious towing with a 1600 SWB Auto vitara LOL.

Our Vitara + glider
My young lady just happened to look at the Gliding Club Webcam a few months ago and took this screengrab,I was on the way from the Hangar to the Launchpoint but stopped off/parked near the clubhouse to 'use the facilities'. The Suzi is an early 2005 GV1600 Auto and the glider is a 1977 DG200,I have ...

Re: Fuel economy
As Jordi posted - how many miles between refuels ?
I usually zero the trip meter every time I fill up so I can always do a rough mental calculation of actual mpg.
Short trips will not help mpg (depends how 'short'),Air Con use probably will not help but should not make mpg really bad.

Re: Vitara Gearbox / Transmission Oil
Any manufacturer/brand/type recommendations for GL -4 Oils Scottie/Anybody ?
Also is there a part number list/chart/ kit of sealing washers for the various Transmission/Diff drain plugs.
I am planning to do all the oils at some stage before winter - starting with Front Diff.
Thanks Baz

Re: Paint code numbers
I found this Aussie website which seems to be a good database of suzuki colour codes. It even has the UnderHood colour codes which I have been trying to ID. I guess being an Aussie site some of the colour combinations might be slightly different ? This link will go to 2004 colours but there are page...
