Re: Newbie

Hi, welcome - but it's really all about the 4x4s here - SJs, Jimnys, Vits etc. - hence the silence, sorry!

Re: HELP - '85 410 rear brake cylinders

Thanks Robbie, was afraid I'd have to do that. Need to getb hold of a decent manual, there used to be a digital one available here but the link died. The Haynes is fairly useless!

HELP - '85 410 rear brake cylinders

MOT place told me I need to replace the rear brake cylinders next time (coming up soon) but there seem to be a few different ones. Mine's an un-modded '85 and I have the chassis number 075----V. Re: L.E.D. Lights

Does anyone have experience with these, from Holland? And I understand you need to change indicator relay to get the flash frequency back to normal, I suppose it flashes very fast otherwise? I need a light cluster that is standard to keep the original SJ look https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-LED-Rear-...

Re: G16 into sj410 info

Thanks Twiss and Scottie - excellent info. I'll go read up on the wiring of a 16v next... but I might like the simplicity of an 8v/carb set-up.

Re: G16 into sj410 info

My '85 Jap 410 already has a 1.3 5spd in it, so not totally original anyway. So I got to thinking maybe a Vit 1.6. First thing is there are 8v and 16v Vit engines around and also maybe carb and F/I variants. I'm actually quite happy with a well-sorted carb set-up (got SU on at moment) but what is re...
